My hair now...the layers have grown out. Picture taken 9/25/2009. I may get a much needed trim. Im undecided.

Hawaiian Silky cool scalp. I purchase this from a beauty supply store, forgot the name. I use thid to base my scalp before a relaxer. I love this stuff. I never get any chemical burns. I've been using this since I was 16. Thats a long time.

Hello Hydration is ok, but Dove is amazing as I stated in previous post.

Another wig

This is Sensationnel Instant Lace Top HZT004 in 1B33 purchased for 17.99.

My last relaxer was October 01, 2009. Im currently 20 weeks post relaxer. My protective style of choice will be my wigs. My new growth is soft and manageable with the help of Scurl, aloe vera spritz, coocnut oil, Mane and Tail Detangler, and cowashing with VO5 Moisture Milks,and Suave Coconut. I no longer detangle in the shower because of excessive shedding. I detangled on towel dried hair along with my leave ins. Im in the process of revamping my regimen, too. Ill discuss that in a later post.




I pinned the hair back and added a flower, thats my crazy son, lol.

I paid .99 for each headband at debshops.com in 2009.

Abandoning JBCO as scalp oil

Today I was browsing the members pages of Hairlista and one member's page caught my attention! She stated that she no longer uses jamaican black castor oil as a scalp oil, because the oil caused tiny white bumps on her scalp!

For weeks, I've been wondering why my scalp was sore and why do I have these tiny white pimples on my scalp. I assumed they were hair bumps.....but I'm very careful when manipulating my hair. Then I thought maybe it was my wigs. Sometimes they will pull the hair around the hairline, but I'm careful with them, too. Besides, I always wear a wig cap to help the wig stay in place and to protect my hair. also I even took s closer look at my regimen to see what the problem could be!

So I'm using the jbco with olive oil as a sealant after moisturizing my hair. And I'll add a teaspoon to my deep conditioner. I will not purchase the jbco after it's gone. I didnt have a problem with the regular castor oil so I may pick some up in the future.

This hair journey is a ever learning experience!

I purchased this product at walmart a couple of weeks ago. I decided to use it for co washes.

My thoughts on this product:
I'm in love, my new growth was so soft after cowashing with it twice. I've found a new love! My hair was so easy to detangle because I'm currently 18 weeks post. After using it twice, I decided to hold off on relaxing this weekend. So Im going to add this to my VO5 Free Me Freesia, Suave Coconut, and Herbal Essence Hello Hydration as my conditioner cowashes!

Broken

This is my very first entry about all things me. My life is in shambles. My spririt is broken.

I decided to start this blog about my weight loss and maintaining my hair while exercising, but I suddenly lost focus. It's February and I havent exercised nor established a healthy diet. I have sooo much time on my hands, and its killing me inside. I miss working. I miss having a life. I miss the old me. I miss the sronger me.

Each morning I wake up, I'm ready, but sometimes the people you love can break you down. I hate being waek and fragile. I hate it! I dont have a life plan....my dreams are sooo bleak. I need a plan. I need guidance. I need you Lord!

Starting today at this moment, with Jesus on my side, I will not let my love ones break me down, and I know I was put here for a reason. I have goals and dreams! I'm tired of feeling like I'm nobody! I know Im rambling but this is my only outlet.

My first step is to let God be the driver of my soul.....until next time!
